Value Village’s #thriftortreat: WIN $100 for this Halloween!
So…I’m not one of those Pinterest moms, who begins working on their child’s costume on November 1st. I’m a last minute, spend as little money as possible kinda gal. Luckily, so far, my kids costume requests have been pretty simple and we’ve managed to get by with inexpensive store-bought variations of characters. So, this year, when I was invited to the #thriftortreat blogger event at Value Village – I was excited. The store graciously provided me with $50 to spend on costumes and Halloween decor, so that I could show you just how many options they have for you!
Value Village offers the largest selection of both new and gently-used costumes, accessories and home décor, which means there’s a costume to match every budget. Every store has thousands of brand-new, ready-made looks that can easily be paired with pre-loved clothing and accessories that fill the aisles at Value Village for a fraction of their original price.
The possibilities are endless at Value Village…you just never know what you might find!
I managed to outfit both of my kiddies for under $50…and grabbed some fun Halloween home decorations as well!

I love growing our own pumpkins every year. AND going to the pumpkin patch.
Favorite thing…decorating and halloween shows!
Our favourite Halloween tradition is carving pumpkins (that we grew ourselves) and making pumpkin soup in one of the shells!
Can I be honest? My favourite Hallowe’en tradition is putting the kids to bed after a chilly night out on the streets, curling up on the couch with my hubby and ‘sampling’ the Reese peanut butter cups. 🙂
I love to decorate the house (inside and out) for Halloween. I also love to walk around the neighbourhood after all the candy has been giving out, with my boys to check out all of the decor. I absolutely LOVE Halloween and look forward to it every year.
I love collecting chestnuts!
My favourite halloween tradition is candy of course! I’m a new mom and it will be my son’s first halloween, and since he is too young to eat candy, I guess we will have to eat it for him. 🙂
Baking pumpkin seeds after pumpkin carving!!!
I love that moment when you get your little one all dressed up in their costume and show them what they look like in the mirror! Priceless!
